      <description>If you are referring to vxfs filesystem snapshots, then man mount_vxfs. These snapshots are all but instantaneous because the entire filesystem is not copied. The snapshot actually consists of the original filesystem + a snapshot buffer that stores the image of the original filesystem blocks before the first write to a given block after the snapshotting occurs.</description>
