Hi,

Basicall bdf and mount will show you disk space and filesystem information.

From the device name in bdf you can also find out in most cases the type of filesystem.

LV information you get with lvdisplay.

See man lvdisplay for more information.

Regards,
Bob

Hi,

If you are using LVM, when you remove a logical volume, you can check the freed space by checking the available PEs of the volume group.

(after lvremove)

#vgdisplay -v vg??

you will see the ff at the bottom:

--- Physical volumes ---
PV Name /dev/dsk/c?t?d?
PV Status available
Total PE 7678
Free PE 3
Autoswitch On

notice the Free PE before an after the logical volume remove.

Regds,

Paul
