(&lt;A href="http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=816709)" target="_blank"&gt;http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=816709)&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;OS: HP-UX flexdb2 B.11.22 A ia64 (ta)&lt;BR /&gt;I want to make a system file from kernel, but it was not successful.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# /usr/lbin/sysadm/system_prep -s /stand/build/system&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/lbin/sysadm/system_prep[256]: 18896 Memory fault(coredump)&lt;BR /&gt;ERROR:   The extraction of a system file from "/stand/vmunix" failed.&lt;BR /&gt;         Verify that "/stand/vmunix" is a properly built kernel file&lt;BR /&gt;         before trying again.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How can I resolve this problem?</description>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;look ok so&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;swlist -l fileset -a title -a revision -a state -x show_superseded_patches=false|grep -v configured|grep -v "#"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;should give no output&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;edit the system_pep script and put&lt;BR /&gt;set -x&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As second line&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;run it again and post the end of the output&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;file /stand/vmunix would also be good&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;    Steve Steel</description>
