Is it just me or are the man pages for pdls bad. I am trying to get an output of a list of printers on the local server and what status they are in. Or even better a list of printers that are in the needs-key-operator-attention status. Anyone have any ideas. The few things I have tried will only work on one printer, and I have been unable to determine how to get a list of printers, let alone printer status, from the command line.

It's been a long time since I've worked with HP Output Management software (or whatever they are calling it now). Back when it was Dazel Output Server, I used "aim_select -c destinations" to get a list of all output destinations. Then you could probably do a "pdls -c printer -a all [physical dest name]". I don't know if this is the same in the current version or not.

I don't have anywhere to test these commands, so let me know if that gets you what you are looking for.
