      <description>i open it from sam-&amp;gt;printer and plotter-&amp;gt;LP spooler-&amp;gt;printer and plotter, and from actions i select add network based printer, and from the jectdirect menu i select {1} spooler administration,then select {1}add printer to local spooler,put a certain IP adress from my network printers,and then it give me the following error&lt;BR /&gt;"&lt;BR /&gt;     !! No response from 172.16.4.32 !!&lt;BR /&gt;   ... (trying to ping 172.16.4.32)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;     The HP JetDirect Printer Installer for Unix can ping the device.&lt;BR /&gt;     The problem may be:&lt;BR /&gt;         * incorrect GET community name!&lt;BR /&gt;         * it is not a network printer!&lt;BR /&gt;         * other.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do you want to continue (y/n/q, default - n)?&lt;BR /&gt;"&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>According to the errors you got, either SNMP configuration of the printer is wrong or you just don't have a ping to it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Did you configure ip for the printer?</description>

      <description>Is the printer an HP Laserjet printer or some other manufacturer? If it is not an HP printer with an HP JetDirect LAN card, it is not a "network printer" as defined by SAM. SAM runs the JetDirect printer installer and this program only works on HP's JetDirect family of LAN cards. Any other manufacturer must be added as a "remote printer". To do this, you need 3 names: the local printer queue name (you pick), the remote printer's LAN card IPaddress, and the LAN card's internal printer name. This cannot be guessed--you'll have to get it from the manufacturer. Add the printer using the BSD option in SAM.</description>
