      <description>We dump all our Oracle export files to disk and then back them up to tape. The error below:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;fbackup(2002): WARNING: reader 0: unable to open file /DLT/HP3/fscnv8/exp/032105fscnv8_exp1_sysadm_1.dmp.gz&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Does this mean that the file was in use, like maybe the export was still running when the backup kicked off?</description>

      <description>Actually you should check you tape and see if that file got backed up later.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you notice that is only a WARNING message.  Typically fbackup will retry a file multiple times  if it can't open the file the first time.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you just got that WARNING message once, then chances are the file did get backed up.</description>
