I know that, but I want to mirror 2 new filesystem that are in rootdg. May be that vxrootmir can mirror only rootvol, swapvol, tmpvol etc?

Hi Stefano,
Here is the way how to make a make mirror of root disk:
1. pvcreate -B /dev/rdsk/<SECOND disk="">
2. vgextend /dev/vg00 /dev/dsk/<SECOND disk="">
3. mkboot /dev/dsk/<SECOND disk="">
4. mkboot -a "hpux -lq" /dev/rdsk/<SECOND disk="">
5. lvextend -m 1 /dev/vg00/lvol1 /dev/dsk/<SECOND disk="">
for every lvol? you have to do this
lvol2,lvol3,lvol4 .... lvoln
6. lvlnboot -R
When you add new lvol you have to add repeat the steps only for new volumes and to create and extend the volume group with additional disks where the mirror will be.
Regards,
Borislav</SECOND></SECOND></SECOND></SECOND></SECOND>

But now I need to mirror some new volumes and I haven't full veritas volume manager, so I can't do "xassist -g dg_name mirror volume_name disk1"..
Stefano,

The base vxvm can only mirror rootvg, if you would like to mirror other filesystems you will need to purchase the full version or mirror/ux software.

Regards,
Robert-Jan
