If there are print jobs that are queued, it will be stalled (when lpshut is executed) but will be printed anyways when the lp is restarted using lpsched.

Regards,

Isralyn

Any time you add or remove a printer, you will stop the spooler. Usually just a short time.

More info, using the jetadmin/hppi it will stop and restart scheduler itself. My experience has been a short pause in print jobs but then printing is resumed from page it left off.

I believe this depends on the type of printer and/or the configuration.
any print jobs that are currently running will stop

Any jobs that are queued will still be queued when the sched restarts and will print accordingly.

The time we have issues if there is a page count or something confirgured for that particular job.

HTH
