    <description>smbstatus will show active CIFS connections.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You do not export the entire /etc/passwd file&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I do it for individual users.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;smbpasswd -a &lt;USERNAME&gt; &lt;PASSWORD&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can also integrate your CIFS authentication with ADS(Microsoft Windows Active Directory) if you are version 3 and above.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;LDAP authentication is also possible.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Authentication against a Windows Domain controller is also possible.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Setting up and using CIFS to do Domain Controller functions is also possible.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP&lt;/PASSWORD&gt;&lt;/USERNAME&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a doubt with my CIFS,&lt;BR /&gt;How could i export /etc/passwd to /var/opt/samba/private/smbpasswd ????&lt;BR /&gt;and&lt;BR /&gt;How can i see the connected users with my shared folders with commands  ????&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Wait&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Fernando.</description>
