To know Filesystem Details !!

Hi All ,

I wanted to know the filesystem statistics and characteristics for this file system ,
I also wanted to know whether largefile option enabled or not.

/dev/vg11/lvol1 102400000 20347632 81411400 20% /oracle_new

which command to be use. and how. Pls suggest.

Hi Veri,

Have a look at the man page for fsadm. It will show you if you have largefiles enabled and other filesystem information.

Hi,

Apart from this if you want to display some more characterstics of Vxfs file systems and you have Veritas Volume manager installed. You can use vxtunefs command. The output would be similar to

#vxtunefs -p /dev/vg00/lvol3
Filesystem i/o parameters for /

read_nstream = 1
read_unit_io = 65536
write_pref_io = 65536
write_nstream = 1
write_unit_io = 65536

Actually - fsadm on the mount point:

fsadm /oracle_new

fstyp on the lvol

fstyp -v /dev/vg11/lvol1
