Hi Ben,

The HP Surestore E Disk 12H array is supported on HPUX 10.20 but unfortunately HPUX 10.20 itself is no longer supported. That means that you can't download 10.20 patches anymore. If you have some patch CD's for 10.20 still lying around though then you may be ok.

So with that being said, there is atleast one recommended patch for the ARM software that you should install. You should investigate any patches that their migth be for your interface card too. Besides that, upgrading you hardware enablement patches to the latest bundle you can find wouldn't hurt either.

For more specific details about the ARM patch and general config under HPUX please refer to manual here:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpg28365/lpg28365.pdf

Don't forget the points :)

Cheers,
Anthony

I'd verify the 12H firmware is at HP62, and make sure a current armserver patch is installed. Other than that, nothing else comes to mind.

hp-ux 10.20 patch is PHCO_23261

firmware and additional info on the 12H is here.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?locale=en_US&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=33733

Oh, also check that /etc/rc.config.d/hparray is set to =1 so that the armserver starts at boot.

Hope this helps,
-denver

yes, 10.20 is well beyond support, but you can still download the patches.

ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/hp-ux_patches/s700_800/10.X/PHCO_23261
