      <description>Hello!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I tried increase the size of /tmp directory by SAM but this is show to me:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cannot unmount /tmp: Device busy.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am the only to use the server. Once in single user mode, perform the following:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#mount /usr&lt;BR /&gt;#lvextend -L &lt;NEW size="" in="" mb=""&gt; /dev/vg00/lvol6&lt;BR /&gt;#extendfs /dev/vg00/rlvol6&lt;BR /&gt;#mount /tmp&lt;BR /&gt;#bdf (to verify your change)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then you go to multi-user mode.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Isralyn&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/NEW&gt;</description>

      <description>Do you have Online JFS?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If yes - then you can extend it on the fly - with out single user mode:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Say /tmp is /dev/vg00/lvol4 and you want it to be 1GB:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvextend -L 1024 /dev/vg00/lvol4&lt;BR /&gt;fsadm -b 1024M /tmp&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rgds...Geoff</description>

      <description>Hey, just have some modify from previous post:&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;#mount /usr&lt;BR /&gt;#lvextend -L &lt;NEW_SIZE_IN_MB&gt; /dev/vg00/lvol6&lt;BR /&gt;#extendfs -F hfs /dev/vg00/rlvol6&lt;BR /&gt;#mount /tmp&lt;BR /&gt;#bdf (to verify your change)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then go to multi-user mode.&lt;BR /&gt;The fastes way to go to single user mode is by using shutdown command:&lt;BR /&gt;#shutdown&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;(no option!)&lt;BR /&gt;After extend, just type init 3 to to to level 3 or reboot the server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regard,&lt;BR /&gt;Hoang Chi Cong&lt;/NEW_SIZE_IN_MB&gt;</description>

      <description>Well, if you look in the post, all of the filesystems are "hfs", so OnlineJFS, even if it's installed cannot help.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Alex.</description>
