Error:- ERR_TOC_TASK and ERR_CPU_CHECK_SUMMARY

Hi Folks

Am in an HPUX 11.11 environment containing a SuperDome with 3 npars and within those 13 vpars.

I checked the system log via the console and found that in a period of 30 seconds the errors in the subject appeared and then disappeared.

Could anyone let me know what the errors mean??? Cant seem to find anything here doing a search!

Those kind of concern me.

A TOC, Transfer Of Control, is initiated when the machine crashes so that it can generate a crash dump.

If that errored for some reason, that's not good.

I'd call HP ASAP about these and see what exactly they mean!

As Patrick syas, it may well be worth running this by the response centre.

Did the messages appear only once, or were there many of them? Were you looking at the system log as a routine thing, or in response to some other problem? Might be worth running a parstatus to check that all the partitions can communicate with the initial cell.

Thanks for the response.

My response to the questions asked are that these errors only actually appeard for about 30 seconds and they were very few.

vparstatus shows everything running and I have seen to irregular behaviour.

I did not actually see the error but one of the customer with whom I am consulting. He was playing with the console and saw these items and asked me to check.

I am happy that there is no problema with any of the vpars or the npars for that matter so for now I will keep an eye on things!
