Hi Andreas,

try to exchange the cables once and see if that has any effect on the situation.

Do you see any error or is it just spitting out the normal messages?

Steffi JOnes

Have a problem with one of my L-class servers.

Found one day that the console was frozen/hang. Did a reboot and the case seemed to be resolved, but after a few lines had been written to the console during the boot process (aprox 50-100 lines) the console froze (mid-sentence)
When the boot process was finished the console again was working and I attempted to log in.
Then again while displaying the copyright message everything froze again, this time again after what seemed like the same number of lines. After this the console is hanging until next boot.

Think the revisions is as follows:
Hardware revision 8 Firmware revision A.01.06
(not able to get into GSP because of the problem)
But this work fine on similar boxes at our site.

Anyone?

Andreas

Hi
After reset I was rid of some anyoing characters thats been there for ages, but the problem is unresolved.

Might add that I was incorrect stating that the console was frozen, its simply VERY slow, so with more text than a few lines at a time, it flips out but will after some time again show up with the prompt.

Connected the console to another server and it worked just fine (and faster)

Andreas
