Hi,

I try to get the console boot on my video card.

I have a blank screen with 8 yellow squares at the bottom!

I changed the Console path to 0/2/0 (where my video card is installed).

My USB carb is installed on the path 0/6/2. I tried to change the keyboard path but the modification cannot be done!

I think my keyboard and mouse is not recognized. That's why I cannot get the console on the screen.

My machine is an A500.

What can I do???

Have you switched the graphics to the relevant path?

Daniel,

As I believe Chuck already indicated to you, A-class systems are not capable of switching their console to the graphics card -- If you wish to run a graphics adapter on this system, you will still need a serial console of some form (whether that be a secure web console, a laptop with a serial cable, or whatever form you wish to use) in order to gain console access to the system.

If you are trying to get the CDE login screen to show up on the system, then I would recommend removing the /etc/dt/config/Xservers file and performing an "init 2" followed by an "init 3" on the system.

I hope this helps.
