Hi,
We are noticing a very strange behavior and continious 100% CPU utilization of "/opt/omni/lbin/fsbrda" process on all of our HP-UX machines (4x SD9000 and 4xRP3440). Very frequently this process is seen as occuping almost 100% utilization of one CPU and it continous to run indefinitely until we manually kill it. These machines are backed up each night through Data Protector using File Systyem as well as Oracle online/RMAN backups. We guess that this process is started during the daily backups but is not stopped even after the backups are successfully completed. Due to the 100% CPU occupancy of this process, our production system are severely affected in performance and we always have to kill this process to improve the situation.

Please help me find a permanent resolution to this problem.

Thanks in advance

Asif Sharif
