      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;this morning in our OpenView Op Console the following message arrived:"&lt;BR /&gt; EMSNotification /storage/events/disks/default/0_1_1_0.0.0 166789140 "CRITICAL(5)" &amp;gt;= "3" 0 1 Problem 166789121&lt;BR /&gt;"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How should I understand this message? Is there a disk problem?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any help much appreciated.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kris</description>

      <description>THanks for the feedback.&lt;BR /&gt;Problem is, telnet does not seem to work anymore. I telnet the system and I get:&lt;BR /&gt;"&lt;BR /&gt;Trying...&lt;BR /&gt;Connected to xxxx.&lt;BR /&gt;Escape character is '^]'.&lt;BR /&gt;"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;that's it. No login screen text, no prompt.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kris</description>

      <description>What is H/W model of your system ?&lt;BR /&gt;Is root disk is mirrored?&lt;BR /&gt;What HP-UX OS version ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Login to GSP or MP by pressing ctrl+B, enter the command IF it's GSP&amp;gt;co  if it's MP&amp;gt;cm &amp;amp;&lt;BR /&gt;MP:CM&amp;gt;co  to get into the console &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are not able to get into console  might be a problem with your disk &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try to reset the system explain us where exactly boot process is hanging&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i think it looks bad for the disk as it is CRITICAL (not even a WARNING). &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;r u able to access that server via console since u r unable to telnet? from there, run "dmesg" command and reply output, also, if possible, reply /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards.</description>

      <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you are not able to telnet to system&lt;BR /&gt;so go for KVK's solution..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;On the other hand,if it is possible&lt;BR /&gt;go to your and check any Amber lights exist&lt;BR /&gt;or not&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you are able to telnet your system&lt;BR /&gt;/var/adm/syslog or dmesg can be evidence what&lt;BR /&gt;is wrong with your system&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Good Luck,</description>
