https://community.hpe.com/t5/operating-system-hp-ux/vertias-vxvm-rootable-system/m-p/3569729#M227979 Has anyone used ignite-ux recovery tape to interactivly reconfigure the root file system to be VxVm rootable system?<BR /><BR />I have used the ignite recovery tapes several times to reconfigure the logical volume sizes that came with a new system, but not to change the volume types?<BR /><BR />I have seen where I can run on the spare internal disk <BR />#vxcp_lvmboot -b cytydy, and then <BR />#vxassist6 -g rootdg make swapvol2 1g <BR />to boot off of it, but what about all the other system files? <BR /><BR />Do I then run from "init 1" the convertion command?<BR /># vxvmconvert <BR /><BR />How do I get the "usr" filesystem converted?<BR /><BR />Has anyone done this yet? <BR />Could do the install from scratch and configure the root filesystem? Any suggestions?<BR /><BR />I was hoping for an easier way without having to reload all the patches and software that is preload at factory.
