swagentd does not start

ERROR: swagentd exiting due to initialization error in background
process. Check the logfile "/var/adm/sw/swagentd.log" for
more information.

Below is the lgofile output :-

open for reading is a tape. pid=2858 07/08/05 20:05:01 IST
ERROR: Failed to start install agent on "/" for root@dcmstest. The
agent died during initialization. Look at log entries
preceding this one for more information.

Possibly your installation source file(.depot) locked!
Run fuser to find out which is locking this file and kill it.
Or .depot fle may be currupt!
Download the file again.

Hi,

May be, the previous patch installation has been interrupted incorrectly and swinstall jobs are locked.

Look in /var for a file "*lock" and delete it.

Could you check the output of

# nslookup dcmstest
# nslookup ip_of_dcmstest

these should match.
