Hi ,

I am having HP ipf (Itnium) server, with HP-UX 11i loaded. Suddenly today we found that machne is not on network. When I check thru SAM it shows no network card instaled.
Thru "ioscan -fnC lan " command I can able to see the card & it shows me claimed. but thur "ifconfig lan0 up " command it gives me socket error.

Can can somebody tell me how to configure the lan0 card.

Regards

Varian

Hi All,

Thanks for the reply.

I checked none of my file system is full. Also the exact error for ifconfig command is as below,
ifconfig: socket: operaton not supported

Also SAM gives error network card not installed. But "ioscan -fnC lan" shows device is present.

Also note that my server was running fine till today morning & now also server is up with all filesystem mounted but with out network.

regards

Varian
