Í have just moved to an environment where ftio is used as backup tool. Does anyone know how ftio copes with open files ? - the main application is a Progress database and this is not shutdown during the backup. I am concerned as experiments I have tried backing up a filesystem while deliberately keeping a file open with the more command and then trying to restore said file failed to restore successfully

Hi,<BR />Yes, open files i backed up but, backing up open database files is always a risk for inconcistences in the database after restoring.
