    <description>Also check out if you have the /etc/hosts with the right hostnames.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try to ping the server by itself with the hostname. then try doing a telnet/ssh  to itself.&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure your /etc/nsswitch.conf has the right stuff.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks&lt;BR /&gt;DP</description>

      <description>I tried to reinstall ignite &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But I got the error message.&lt;BR /&gt;Could not connect host.Make sure the host name is correct.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Actually I have the same problem with some application on this machine.&lt;BR /&gt;e.g. some license could not connect the hostname. I have a comupter name and I run "hostname" i can get it.&lt;BR /&gt;What's the problem?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Could you check the output of&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# nslookup your_server_name&lt;BR /&gt;# nslookup your_server_ip&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;results should be the same.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check the next files.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/rc.config.d/netconf&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/hosts&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/nsswitch.conf&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps,&lt;BR /&gt;Robert-Jan</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I hope you have proceeded further a bit alongwith the help of these responses. But from your profile I found that you are fully utilizing the resources of this forum for last couple of days. &lt;BR /&gt;This forum works on a point system where the author of the thread has to assign points to all the responses to his questions as per their relevance.
