    <title>topic Sendmail in Operating System - HP-UX</title>
    <link>https://community.hpe.com/t5/operating-system-hp-ux/sendmail/m-p/2428844#M2307</link>
<description>We have some B1000 systems installed with 10.20 some months back. In all these m/cs, sendmail is unable to route mail to a remote account unless the name is expanded ie. phil@dolphin instead of just phil. This implies that it is unable to refer to the NIS aliases database although the "service.switch" is configured and "sendmail.cf" entry for "service.switch path" is unhashed.&lt;BR /&gt;The version of sendmail is 8.9.3(PHNE-18979) of size720896 bytes. The problem could be solved by copying the sendmail executable "/usr/sbin/sendmail" of ver 8.7.1 and size 344064 bytes from another 10.20 system.&lt;BR /&gt;Is it a bug with sendmail ver 8.9.0 or is there a configuration problem?</description>
