hmmm, it might be different on IPF, but i quite strongly recall 'ramdisk image' sets 'ramdisk size' :))

I think I remember it's possible.

There a various threads on creating HP-UX boot cd's and from what I remember the ramdisk image size set's the size the image will have.
Enlarging it at runtime is not possible.

I would recommend You to either search the forums or wait for some of the people more experienced in this topic to drop in.
I'm starting with a recovery shell from CD, and I have 2 Gigabytes of RAM...

I think that can be a way by passing some parameters to the vmunix in the EFI phase ( the first argument auto-setted is :IINSTALL ), but I'm not shure of this, I didn't find any clear document about this problem...

I don't think ramdisk is generally supported on Integrity. Googling on "hp-ux ram disk" will get you this: http://www.faqs.org/faqs/hp/hpux-faq/section-81.html

I know Tom Lanahan has been working on ramdisk for Integrity servers, but I don't know the current status.
<>
