Alex,

If you want to get the full value of HP, then you have to trash those SLOWlaris boxes of yours and get some decent HP hardware.

I would not expect HP to make up for Sun's suck-arse support (although they frequently do).

Cheers,
Jim

Im running a Sun Storedge L20 tape library from a Sun E420R server running Solaris 2.7.

I beleive i need to configure a SCSI pass-through driver in order to get OmniBack v3.5 to talk to the robotics. I have found the necessary docs describing the procedure in HP-UX, but nothing for Solaris. I havent really found much on the Sun website either. Can anyone help ?

As this forum is for HP-UX questions, I would suggest you contact SUN for this question

If i could run my eval on HP platforms i would, but we dont have any.

I was rather hoping that HP would have been able to offer some guidance on this issue, considering that i am evaluating your product with a view to spending $$$$$$$.
