Need to Install lsof utility ??

Hi All ,

I want to install the "lsof" utility in the system to see the activity details , from this link.

http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Sysadmin/lsof-4.75/

Just wanted to know , does it require any reboot, or any impact on running production system. Can I install the .depot file. Any impact. !! pls suggest.

no reboots involved.
just make sure you are getting the correct bit width application. The location you gave only has the 64 bit binary depot.

No reboot is required. You may get lsof from following site as well

http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Sysadmin/lsof-4.75/

Obtain from port archive. I use http://gatekeep.cs.utah.edu

In a depot format so swinstall thepackage

No reboot required

It is just a small, but very usefull, binary. So no impact at all on the server.
