If you are looking at taking a course, and you have some experience. (which you shold have if you are taking an exam) I suggest the HPUX sys admin for experienced Unix admins course. They basically combine the 2 courses, and skip much of the Mickey Mouse stuff...

Good luck.

Hope it helps

John

I am preparing for the CSA and want to know the following
a) What is the latest test number ?
b) What is the passing mark currently, is there a passing mark for each section ?
c) Is Networking topics like NFS/Samba/NIS/bootp/DNS covered in the test to the extent of configuration or is basic information about them enough ?
d) Lastly, HP has 2 courses System and Network Admin 1 and System and Network Admin 2. Do i need to go through both of these courses or is System Admin 1 the only one needed for CSA.

Any other tips will be appreciated too
Thanks !

Hi, Saket,

a)
The latest exam number of CSA is HP0-091, the HP0-002 is no longer exist.

b) NIS will be replace by LDAP at near future, therefore, for prepare HP0-091, the NIS part is not necessary.

c) both courses are official recommand for prepare CSA certificate, but if you are experienced hpux system administrater and familier with the daily tasks, I think it's not necessary for attend those courses.
