      <description>How do i boot run level 1 if i have no rights, the root account is locked, and i can only log in as a normal user.</description>

      <description>You can try to su - from the user's account were you are logged in.&lt;BR /&gt;(su to root under root variable environment). If you have a secured environment and root login is locked due to many  unsuccessful logins, well, you have to boot the box in single user mod (interrupt boot sequence  and boot hpux ?is). If you setup a password even for single user mode, you have to boot from the CDROM, and edit /etc/password (just delete the information from password field.&lt;BR /&gt;Good luck.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
