there is probalby no problem to solve. it would be best to verify this with a tusc trace, or more verbose logging in Notes (if it exists) but I would guess that what is happening is that Lotus is logging an ENOBUF "error" from accept(). this can happen in accept() when the remote closes the connection before the server accept()'s it. there is likely nothing permanently wrong

We run Lotus Notes 5.0.7 on HP - UX 11.00. Sometimes we get the Lotus Notes error:
"Error on Listen functions: The TCP/IP protocol stack reported that it ran out of memory"
and we must restart the application ....
Who knows who I can solve this problem ?

That sound fairly strange !!!

How much memory does your server have?

Have you ran any other version of Notes on your HP server before? did they work? if other version of Notes program ran well before then you should really go get some patch for your current version.

Rgds,
Philip
Hallo Philip,

The machine have 3 GB Memory and 4 CPU's.
Version 4.6 runs correct. Since Vers. 5.x.x we have problems. It looks so that it depends also at the number of current users. We have now 1200 current user, 2800 are registered.

Thanks in advance

Christian

Hallo Rick
No problem ?
This is a big problem !!
After Lotus Notes give this message, nobody can send or receive mails. It gives no answers to the clients. We must stop and start the application to solve the problem. Sometimes several times at one day.
