Thu, 26 Apr 2001 18:21:22 GMT https://community.hpe.com/t5/operating-system-hp-ux/printer-recreated/m-p/2521889#M23724 Marcos Gomes 2001-04-26T18:21:22Z https://community.hpe.com/t5/operating-system-hp-ux/printer-recreated/m-p/2521890#M23725 You are close.<BR />Do an lpshut (to be safe).<BR />You need to restore /etc/lp, /var/spool/lp<BR />You may need /usr/lib/lp<BR />make sure that /usr/spool is symbolically linked to /var/spool.<BR />Make sure that there is a /var/adm/lp direcory.<BR />If you care restore /var/adm/lp to get the logs.<BR />I think that's all but be sure that the proper<BR />permissions and owner/group are set on files and directories.<BR />Start up the scheduler via lpsched.<BR /><BR />... I've moved entire printer environments so this should work.<BR /><BR />If any of the printer's are networked make sure that the JetAdmin (or whoever's) network printer software in installed.<BR /><BR />...
