lvlnboot error

Hi,
In a 11.00 system the make_recovery reports an error, lookings to the related threads, I think the problem it's that:
/# lvlnboot -v
Boot Definitions for Volume Group /dev/vg00:
Physical Volumes belonging in Root Volume Group:
/dev/dsk/c1t6d0 (0/0/2/0.6.0) -- Boot Disk
/dev/dsk/c2t6d0 (0/0/2/1.6.0)
Unable to query the I/O interface: Parameter error.
lvlnboot: Unable to print reliable information.

Can you run

# diskinfo /dev/rdsk/c2t6d0

and

# ioscan -Cdisk -fn

Problem is with /etc/lvmtab or disk. Try to scan with, ioscan -fnuC disk. what is the software stage of S/W State field for that disk.

I don't know where the problem is, I just can't done lvlnboot run without errors.

ioscan to the disk:

disk 1 0/0/2/1.6.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE SEAGATE
ST318404LC
/dev/dsk/c2t6d0 /dev/rdsk/c2t6d0

the disk it's fine

Can you run

# strings /etc/lvmtab

Or try

# mv /etc/lvmtab /etc/lvmtab.old
# vgscan

Try correcting the BDRA with this command:

# lvlnboot -R

and the try:

# lvlnboot -v

I would also recocemmed intsalling latest Ignite-UX software and use 'make_tape_recovery' command instead of 'make_recovery' (this is the old version)

Hi,

Just curious if the root is mirrored and the error is related to the disk holding the second copy.Could you post
#vgdisplay -v /dev/vg00

if the root is mirrored ?

Thanks, but I know now where the problem is.
Before the HP technical change an I/O interface card the ioscan reports that one disk is NO_HW, but not a boot device.
