HP-UX 11.11 debug kernel

We are looking for a debug or instrumented hp-ux 11.11 kernel.

For instance, we would like visibility into the additional tracking capability for spinlocks built into the debug kernel. In the release version, spinlocks owned by a cpu are not tracked, only that a cpu has multiple locks. On the other hand, according to the kwdb documentation, the debug version tracks the actual spinlocks.

Is such a thing available. If so how do we obtain a copy?

Also go on docs.hp.com and in the search type just adb. You should see a lot of docs for adb that should already be on your HP-UX system.

Thats a new one on me.

There are a lot of tools that work with the kernel to get information, the best of which is called glance.

It has substantial tracking capabilities built into its gui.

SEP
