    <description>&lt;BR /&gt; Hi Joesph,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Thanks for a quick response mate,&lt;BR /&gt; The problem has now been resolved, i just had to turn the cdrom off and then turned back on again. After this I ran&lt;BR /&gt;"mount -F cdfs /dev/dsk/c0t3d0 /cdrom" and it worked.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Appreciate your help.&lt;BR /&gt; Raf</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt; Hi Guys,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; I have just installed HP-UX on the machine by using an external scsi cd drive.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; How do i mount this cdrom drive so I can't read the contents of the cd.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; I have run the command "ioscan -kfnC disk" and gives me the following message for cdrom..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; CLASS  I  H/W PATH  DRIVER  S/W     H/W type&lt;BR /&gt; disk   0  8/16/5.3.0 sdisk  CLAIMED Device&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; DESCRIPTION&lt;BR /&gt; PLEXTOR CD-WRITER /dev/dsk/c0t3d0 /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; I have used the following command to mount the cdrom.&lt;BR /&gt;" mount -F cdfs /dev/dsk/c0t3d0 /cdrom"&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt; But i got an error below.&lt;BR /&gt;"mount:/dev/dsk/c0t3d0 was either ignored or not found in /etc/fstab file."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please advise how to rectify this error and mount the CDROM..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Thanks in advance.&lt;BR /&gt; Raf</description>

      <description>hi raf,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;check again the state of the CDROM:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# ioscan -fnC disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if no problem, try:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# mount -F cdfs -o cdcase /dev/dsk/c0t3d0 /cdrom&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards.</description>

      <description>You can also try with pfs_mount &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# nohup /usr/sbin/pfs_mountd&amp;amp;&lt;BR /&gt;# nohup /usr/sbin/pfsd &amp;amp;&lt;BR /&gt;# mount -F cdfs -o rr /dev/dsk/c0t0d0 /cd&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Arun</description>
