      <description>Hi All ,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;for some SAP time issue , its told that to update the libc patch to current level.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) what is libc patch.?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2) How to find which one is libc patch.?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Here is the output I got from this:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# swlist -l product | grep -i libc&lt;BR /&gt; PHCO_25569            1.0            libc cumulative header file patch&lt;BR /&gt;  PHCO_28481            1.0            cumulative 10.20 libc compatibility support&lt;BR /&gt;  PHCO_29328            1.0            libc manpage cumulative patch&lt;BR /&gt;  PHCO_29955            1.0            libc cumulative patch&lt;BR /&gt;  PHSS_28303            1.0            LIBCL patch&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;which one to update. &lt;BR /&gt;Please suggest.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;veri.</description>

      <description>Thanks Luk ,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am using hp-ux 11i&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Here is uname -a ourput:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ uname -a&lt;BR /&gt;HP-UX mxsapd9 B.11.11 U 9000/800 1133901587 unlimited-user license&lt;BR /&gt;---------------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope the libc patch will be different for that. and hope I can download from itrc patch database.</description>

      <description>The libc cumulative patch is the main libc patch, but to the dependencies will probably require you to update each of these patches.  It is normal to have the cum. 10.20 libc compat. patch on 11.x systems.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The current reccomended patches are:&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_25569 --&amp;gt; PHCO_31923&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_28481 --&amp;gt; PHCO_32719&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_29328 --&amp;gt; PHCO_29829&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_29955 --&amp;gt; PHCO_33533&lt;BR /&gt;PHSS_28303 --&amp;gt; reccomended.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure to check the readme file and resolve all of the dependencies. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I like John's answer, I would just add that libc and its patches are part of the HP-UX software foundation.  Almost every HP-UX command and application links this C library in at runtime.</description>

      <description>Hi ,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The latest of libc patch is :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_33533 &amp;amp; it has two dependencies:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_31923 s700_800 11.11 libc cumulative header file patch&lt;BR /&gt;PHKL_33258 s700_800 11.11 VxFS cumulative patch ;ml_flag race.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It will need a reboot after installing the patch.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check itrc patch database for download.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;Raj.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
