Hi Admins,

I gotta hick-up when I tried to install any depots in my new rp server (11.11). After running "swinstall" and pointing the absolute path its giving me permission error and check for swacl. I have logged as root and permissions are given full for those depots.
Kinldy suggest what this root can do to come-over this issue,.

Hi,

Did you tried ?

#swinstall -s /path_to_depot/patch.depot

What is the source of the spot files ? If these were downloaded then try matching checksum to validate them for consistency.

You tried:

swinstall -s /path/somename.depot \*

???

Some shops don't let root have full permission on NFS mounts on NAS devices. See about installing the depot from local disk.
