Im am currently trying to install IDS 9000 on a test server to evaluate. The swinstall fails and the first hurdle. It needs dependancies. What do I need to install to get this working. It looks like it needs Open View stuff. Is there not a fully loaded bundle I can just install.

I am using idsSPI-VPO-HPUX-A0202.depot

Ta Rich

The system is as follows:-
smithers>uname -a
HP-UX smithers B.11.11 U 9000/831 2010211130 unlimited-user license
smithers>model
9000/831/D350
smithers>getconf KERNEL_BITS
32

smithers>swlist -l bundle|awk '{ print $3 $4 $5 $6 $7 $8 $9 $10 $11 }'
target"smithers"...
smithers:/
ObjectCOBOL/UXDeveloperBundleforHPUX11.0
ObjectCOBOL/UXRun-TimeBundleforHPUX11.0
HP-UXInstallationUtilities(Ignite-UX)
DCE/9000Programming&AdministrationToolsMediaandManuals
HPOpenViewStorageDataProtector
RequiredPatchBundleforHP-UX11i,June2003
BaseVERITASVolumeManagerBundle3.5forHP-UX
EnglishCDEEnvironment
PCIFDDI;SupptdHW=A3739A/A3739B;SW=J3626AA
HPPBFDDI;SupptdHW=J2157B;SW=J2658BA
FeatureEnablementPatchesforHP-UX11i,Sept2002
PCI/HSCFibreChannel;SupptdHW=A6684A,A6685A,A5158A,A6795A
PCI/HSCGigEther;SupptdHW=A4926A/A4929A/A4924A/A4925A;SW=J1642AA
HP-UXEnterpriseOperatingEnvironmentComponent
HP-UX32-bitBaseOS
HP-UXBaseOSAuxiliary
HardwareEnablementPatchesforHP-UX11i,June2003
HPUX11.11SupportToolsBundle,Jun2003
HP-UXSecureShell
PerlProgrammingLanguage

AND.....................
Shalom Richard,

The missing dependencies are always dipslayed in the swagent log.

/var/adm/sw/swagentd.log

It would probably help to get the product you really want and try and install that first.

Usually the download pages list dependencies.

SEP
