Can you log in as root and check the user's home directory?

If so, does he have a .Xauthority file? Have a look at the errorlog in his .dt directory (hanging off his home directory).

Mark Syder (like the drink but spelt different)

Hi Abdul ,

You can run dr_dt.
# cd /usr/contrib/bin/X11/dr_dt

It will examine your system to determine if HP CDE can function properly. If It find problems or concerns, or just want
to supply some information, It will issue INFO/WARNING/ERROR statements.
It will not make any changes itself, but might suggest that you need to change something.

Cheers,
Raj.
