Use sar or top or vmstat utility. Which performance you want to monitor? cpu , memory like that.

sar through cron and redirect output to a file
glance through cron in adviseroy mode and redirect output to a file
top through cron and redirect output to a file

i want to check monday CPU Utilization record(12/12/05)and how to collect that day record without using extract tool

Dear Venkat,

You can shchedule a #sar in cron at regular intervels and redirect to a file.

do you want to get system performance from history? Do you have file's in /var/adm/sa/ directory. If you've then use sar -f it will give details.

Else you 've to write a script to store the contents.
