    <description>Hi Amit,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Did you do a pvcreate on the physical disk,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;pvcreate /dev/rdsk/c16t7d7&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure you are able to see the disk in ioscan and can access it,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# diskinfo -v /dev/rdsk/c16t7d7&lt;BR /&gt;# dd if=/dev/rdsk/c16t7d7 of=/dev/null bs=1024k&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hope this helps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regds&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>You need to pvcreate the disk first.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If pvcreate /dev/rdsk/c16t7d7 errors, then use the -f option if you are sure the disk isn't used elsewhere...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rgds...Geoff&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
