      <title>Help needed for NIS plus..</title>

      <description>Hi all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;nis plus is configured on server side and working. Nis client is not working fine and was working properly earlier.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;bash-3.00# ./nisping -Ca&lt;BR /&gt;Checkpointing replicas serving directory vxindia.veritas.com. :&lt;BR /&gt;Master server is nisserver.hellow.com.&lt;BR /&gt;        Last update occurred at Mon Sep  5 10:59:16 2005&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;niscat is working fine. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#niscat -M passwd.org_dir1~&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and if i do finger &lt;USERNAME&gt; it works fine&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;bash-3.00# finger schouta&lt;BR /&gt;Login name: schouta                     In real life: Srikanth Chouta&lt;BR /&gt;Directory: /lhome/schouta               Shell: /bin/ksh&lt;BR /&gt;Never logged in.&lt;BR /&gt;No unread mail&lt;BR /&gt;No Plan.&lt;BR /&gt;bash-3.00#&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Means it able to contact nis plus server and get the user information.But is not allowing me to login server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what could be the possible reason. ?Any other way to check the nis plus working.&lt;/USERNAME&gt;</description>
