Hi All,

I have swapped a tape device on a k370 server from a DLT7000 to a DLT8000.

When I have rebooted the server I run a ioscan -fnC tape I only get the device files...
/dev/rmt/c2t3d0BEST /dev/rmt/c2t3d0BESTn /dev/rmt/c2t3d0BESTb /dev/rmt/c2t3d0BESTnb

instead of getting the normal 0m, 0mb, etc.

I have tried backing up to this device but it failed saying it's not a valid device file for backup.

Any ideas how I can get these device files?

Do I need a driver?

Or any other ideas?

Thanks in Advance,

Colin.
