I didn't notice that you appear to be running 10.20. If that is the case, I don't think you can find a current version of Ignite for it.

I would take a look at the /opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.10.20 directory to see if SYSCMDS is there but with a different spelling (like Syscmds or something). I seem to remember that there was a problem with that at one time. If that is the case, simply rename it to SYSCMDS. Or, it may be possible that the parent directory exists with a different spelling.

Pete

Hi,
I am getting the following error while I am attempting a make_recovery.

make_recovery(650): The system appears to be missing the
Ignite-UX.FILE-SRV-10-20 fileset. The file /opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.10.20/SYSCMDS
is missing. Refer to the DEPENDENCIES in the make_recovery(1M) manpage.

Can anybody please help/suggest.

The make_recovery command indicates that you're running an older version of Ignite. Newer versions use the make_tape_recovery command. I would suggest downloading and installing the current version:

http://www.docs.hp.com/en/IUX/

Pete
Shalom Amit,

You probably need to re-install Ignite.

After that I suggest you use make_tape_recovery

It is more current and has some degree of support at HP even though your OS does not.

SEP

Since it appears you're running 10.20, make_tape_recovery will not be an option for you. I could be wrong (happened before) but I believe it was introduced at 11.0 and above. It does appear that the SYSCMDS file is missing as pointed out in the error message. I first suggest checking for corrupt Ignite filesets as pointed out with swverify. If anything shows as corrupt, swinstall the ignite software depot with -x reinstall=true. If all else fails, swremove Ignite from the system and make a clean install from there.

Regards,
Eric

Hi,

The sequence of messages indicates that there was some problem in installing the ignite package. Try reinstalling the same and this should be fine.

Although as the OS revision is quite old I do not think you will find a recent version for this. Atleast verify checksum of the old one used and reinstall.

HTH,
Devender
