    <description>You could try doing a man on bootpd.  It would tell you that it is the internet boot daemon and is used to enable DHCP, BOOTP and DHCP/BOOTP relay.  It would also tell you a lot more!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pete</description>

      <description>bootpd is a deamon that is used by bootp protocol. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In simple language. It is used to boot some devices including printers. If you have a printer, you can configure it to boot from the server using bootp, all the IP addresses configured in the bootptab would be used for the printer.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It could be used for more things but that is the only thing I can think of now</description>
