How far apart can two nodes be before you need to start looking at the special long-range ServiceGuard clusters?

If it is any help, at our plant the
two nodes are about a kilometer apart linea recta, but the fibre cabling (which is going
via via) must be 1,5 times that.

We did however slightly up the timeout parameter for the heartbeat, but this was more out of safety-principle then scientific research.

So far it is running ok.
