    <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If there are problems connecting to a server this will be indicated and the cause is likely there.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If a NFS server this machine has connected to has gone offline or been booted, you may need to reboot or restart nfs to fix this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/nfs.client stop&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/nfs.server stop&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/nfs.core stop&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/nfs.core start&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/nfs.server start&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/nfs.client start&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <title>connection problem</title>

      <description>After I have umount the directory from the remote server  , now my local server seems have some problems , &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. run /usr/sbin/lsof but no output ,&lt;BR /&gt;2. the cpu is relative slow ,&lt;BR /&gt;3. the local seems still finding the remote server to connect , from the server log shows that it seems the nfs have problem,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what is wrong ? thx in advance.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Try 'bdf' see any stale mounts or your NFS mount still exists.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If not check dmesg and syslog for any automount related.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sometime this could have happened as the /etc/mnttab has some problem/curruption.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Better do a reboot if you have mnttab related problems.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;chan</description>

      <description>check if the mount entry is still in /etc/mnttab. IF stll there then you may not be able to do bdf if there is a a issue with NFS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;doing bdf would hang . Try to remount the same mount point on another directory, This would correct the old one.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you do not have it listed in the mnttab, then this would likely be another issue. Check if any of your file system is full and also check the syslog and dmesg.</description>
