Hello Claudio,

Did the whole system crash? Have you examined the ts99 logfile in /var/tombstones?

If you have a ts99 file but don't know how to read it, you can post it here and we can help.

Good Luck,
Curt

3 days old, we had a crash in the system (HP-9000-HP-UX10.20). In the syslog, we have (in the first line) the following:
vmunix: 00640 80080000 00500090 00000000
vmunix: NCR chip register dump:
vmunix: 00: SCNTL3:1b SCNTL2:80 SC
NTL1: 10 SCNTL0:d8
vmunix: 04: GPREG:07 SDID:01 SX
FER: 08 SCID:47
vmunix: 08: SBCL:a3 SSID:81 SO
CL: 01 SFBR:00
vmunix: 0c: SSTAT2:09 SSTAT1:03 SS
TAT0: 01 DSTAT: 00
vmunix: 10: DSA: ffffffce
(...)
Although we know it's a little bit, it's possible to someone help us? Can be something with peripherals disconections? If necessary, we can attache syslog file.
Thanx in advance.

Claudio,
"SCSI: Third party detected bus hang -- lbolt: 29496785, bus: 2"
You had problems with your bus from instance 2.
you can check which bus it is by doing "ioscan -fnkC ext_bus"
then you can check what you have connected to it with "ioscan -fnk"

So, you may have some hw problem/failure on that bus. Check every connections and every thing connected to it.
A good idea is to check it with Diagnostics.
boa sorte.
