    <description>&lt;BR /&gt;Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Could you check the terminator in the DLT ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also you can check by changing the SCSI ID in the DLT drive and reconnect the drive &amp;amp; check ioscan.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;With Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Siva.</description>

      <description>I have reconnected a Quantum DLT drive to our A500 HP-UX 11i server.&lt;BR /&gt;It appeares fine at first but when I ry to backup it dissapears from the system:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ext_bus     4  0/2/0/0        c720      CLAIMED     INTERFACE    SCSI C87x Fast &lt;BR /&gt;Wide Differential&lt;BR /&gt;target     17  0/2/0/0.3      tgt       NO_HW       DEVICE       &lt;BR /&gt;tape        1  0/2/0/0.3.0    stape     NO_HW       DEVICE       QUANTUM DLT8000&lt;BR /&gt;                             /dev/rmt/1m            /dev/rmt/c4t3d0BEST  &lt;BR /&gt;                             /dev/rmt/1mb           /dev/rmt/c4t3d0BESTb &lt;BR /&gt;                             /dev/rmt/1mn           /dev/rmt/c4t3d0BESTn &lt;BR /&gt;                             /dev/rmt/1mnb          /dev/rmt/c4t3d0BESTnb&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It changes to NO_HW and goes offline.&lt;BR /&gt;All the lights are on on the DLT.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Alan,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you _re_-connected it, this is most likely a bent-pin-issue. you should see SCSI errors in syslog and dmesg.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Disconnect again and check pins (and terminator).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Bernhard</description>

      <description>The pins look fine, none are bent and I have run ioscan many times after reconnecting :)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The adapter on the DLT is FW Diff SCSI&lt;BR /&gt;and the terminator I am using is marked with: A1658-62024 Rev B&lt;BR /&gt;I'm not sure if this is the correct terminator, it may not be the original one used.</description>
