MAJORWARNING for SCSI_TAPE, no data in resmon

I got the following error in the syslog of a hp-ux 11i A500, the server hung and had to be rebooted:

When I execute above command I get:
There is no active monitor request for the resource /storage/events/tapes/SCSI_t
ape/0_2_0_0.3.0
associated with the request id 178913282.

Can anyone give me more info?
This has happened twice this week and both times the server hung!

Hi
Does the system hang and the you boot the system and then run the command stated abobe or does the system hang when you are running the command above.

There apears to be a scsi bus or tape issue, but I would like to know the order in which events happens.
Also during the hang are you running some type of backup to the tape or heavy i/o to the tape drive.

Another thing that could be tried is a plai tar to the tape and see what is happening.

What is the os version?
What king of tape drive are you using?

Hi again,

Did you received any mail in root mailbox?

The "There is no active monitor ..." message appears because you rebooted...

Run mstm, select both the PCI SCSI Interface and the SCSI Tape, Tools -> Information -> Run
