      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Here is some comaprisons ..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;LVM and VxVM Comparisons&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;LVM         VxVM&lt;BR /&gt;â ¢ Volume Group      Disk Group&lt;BR /&gt;â ¢ Physical Volume     Volume Manager disk&lt;BR /&gt;â ¢ Physical extents     subdisks&lt;BR /&gt;â ¢ Logical Volume     Volume&lt;BR /&gt;â ¢ Mirrors       Plexes ( Mirrors)&lt;BR /&gt;â ¢ LVM metadata      Private Region&lt;BR /&gt;â ¢ Vgexport       Deport&lt;BR /&gt;â ¢ Vgimport      import&lt;BR /&gt;A disk can belong to Only one group. But a group consist of a collection of disks.&lt;BR /&gt;In  VxVM , you associate a VxVM disk with a device.
