Try running vgexport against the Volume Groups that have "disappeared".

Pete

Hi,

You don't neeed to use vgreduce, only vgexport for all unneded volume groups, i.e:
vgexport vg1
vgexport vg2 etc.

Hi,

An easier method. Just move the /etc/lvmtab file to some place else and execute vgscan.

here is the command sequence...

#mv /etc/lvmtab /tmp
#vgscan -a -v

Now I don't think you will have any error with your vgdisplay command.

Regards,
Senthil Kumar .A
